Summit Wine Cellars was founded by Fred Tregaskis, who’s passion for wine had its roots in his art school years when he worked in the vineyards of New York’s Hudson Valley. Following a tenure working as a taster for a national magazine, he was asked to recommend someone who could design and build a 28,000-bottle wine cellar for Lespinasse Restaurant at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. Drawing from his experience in design, construction and fine woodworking, he undertook the project, which led to the successful installation of many residential wine cellar designs throughout the country.
Through the years, Fred partnered with MetalCraft to bring the execution of his designs to new levels. When Fred retired in 2020, it was a natural fit to integrate Summit Wine Cellars into the MetalCraft family.
We personally design every wine cellar, made complete by hallmark MetalCraft workmanship.
